PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroakyl substances) are synthetic chemicals used for various purposes. Other types of food packaging may use this to repel oil and water. However, there are claims that these chemicals are harmful to health.

Econtainer products are certified to not contain any PFAS. Instead, we use 100% natural starch coating as an alternative in making our products oil and water-resistant.

Yes, it's oven and microwave oven safe. It can withstand up to 250°C/450°F. However, please take note that PET lids are not microwaveable.

As much as possible, in the interest of food safety, we discourage reusing our containers as these are not meant to be washed and reused.

You may dispose of our products using proper solid waste management through your local garbage disposal service providers.

Our products will compost effectively in landfills.

Alternatively, you may also compost them at home by breaking the containers to smaller pieces and mixing them with soil.
